Harvard Law School’s Dean of Students views the “It’s Okay To Be White” stickers that have been popping up on campus as a “provocation.”

Dean of Students Marcia L. Sells denounced the placing of “more than a dozen” handmade “It’s Okay To Be White” stickers at the school’s Wasserstein and Hastings Halls this week as “provocations intended to divide us,” according to The Harvard Crimson.

According to the publication, the stickers began as a campaign on 4chan, which called upon students to put up posters and stickers carrying the message in their area on Halloween night. The Harvard Crimson reported that the originator of the post hoped that the “credibility of far left campuses and media gets nuked” following the reaction of social justice warriors who would undoubtedly see the message as problematic—as if it is not okay to be white.

Suggestions to place the stickers in question made their rounds on social media platforms like Twitter and  Facebook on the days leading up to Halloween, and many took up the proposal by placing the stickers in various places throughout the country.

“It seems likely that these anonymous postings, made in the middle of the night, were provocations intended to divide us from one another,” wrote the Dean of Students in an email sent to Law students.

“HLS will not let that happen here,” Sells added. We live, work, teach, and learn together in a community that is stronger, better, and deeper because of our diversity and because we encourage open, respectful, and constructive discourse.”

The Crimson Harvard goes out of its way to refer to a vandalism incident in 2015 where pieces of black tape were placed over the portraits of black professors at the Law School, spurring “a broader campus dialogue about race on campus.” Those particular stickers were likely a hoax, according to The College Fix, much like other so-called “conversation starters” planned by campus leftists to incite “dialogue” about “social justice.”

As for the “It’s Okay To Be White” stickers, the reaction on social media—and on campuses like Harvard Law School—only prove their point.

  • DaisyToo

I can only imagine if someone made a sticker that said “White is Beautiful”.

    • David Watts

Or wrote a song: “(Don’t) Say It (Too) Loud, I’m White And I’m Proud.”

  • To say it isn’t OK to be white would be racist. What you are born and have no choice in is always OK. It is the choices you make, like discriminating against people by race, that makes you evil.

    • ShikokuPrincess91

“Discrimination” is reason applied to human interactions. That’s my fiancé’s quote not mine, but is appropriate. You’re heart is in the right place too ;).
As a rape survivor (near rape) from a black male, as well as a victim of other black male actions, I have zero problem discriminating against them. The risks are too great.
Then again I’m not American or white. It’s pretty clear to me that the stereotypes are for the most part justified.
Do you think I’m a good driver? lol not in the least. I am a horrible driver just like most Asian girls. Just a fact. That’s why I have my fiancé drive if we need to use the car. I’m also good at math and have a “cute” personality lol. I also find older white guys the most yummy. My fiance is 23,years older than me. Yet another stereotypical relationship. It is what it is :).
Be warned of the third world peoples, in Europe and America. ;).

      • If you use the actions of one to justify discrimination against a group is racism. An individual assaulted you, not a race. My wife is asian, older than me, poor at math and a great driver. One of my kids is a pharmacist, the other drives a truck.
Take people as the individuals they are. Liberals use the war against groups of people to divide us.

        • Steve O

Where I live, the predominantly black neighborhoods are dangerous — factually so. And it’s not because a bad man lives there.

          • It only takes a handful of people to make a bad neighborhood.

        • Hairatic Rick

You so easily mistake far left Marxist for liberals and fully miss the point that liberal are all about the individual that one can only dismiss all you have to say. This Alt-left and Alt-Right are only about class identity.

          • Liberals have nothing to do with the individual anymore. It’s all about groups – black, latino, gay, white, women, trans. rich, poor, – and pitting one against the other. Special rules for special people, hiring quotas, college admissions and multicultural everything.

If you want people concerned with the individual, look to libertarians and to a lesser extent conservatives.

          • Hairatic Rick

Wow the Alt-Left SJW Marxists feminist have really got you fooled. HA. Whatever 😀

        • Jennifer Lynn

Great point about your family. Too many stereotypes about certain groups. Let people just be themselves, and judge them by their attitudes and behaviors. Let their actions speak for themselves.

        • Bill918

What you are suggesting is unnatural. The elites seem to want to believe that humans are a superior race. Humans, the only ones still standing on a shore when the tsunami is coming, is not superior. Are rabbits racist for avoiding the fox? Should they not judge one fox on the actions of others? Should turtles willingly swim to the alligators. Why not put your hand on a hot stove. Why judge one stove by the heat of another. Our intelligence and instinct teaches us to learn, not just believe. You can not wish or educate people out of natural instinct.

      • Hairatic Rick

Friend girl, I will work on my math skills if you will switch off your turn signal. 😀

      • Skyhawk

Great post. Most do not want to acknowledge that stereotypes come from common practice.

    • bookish1

Like when BLM thugs ordered their white supporters to march at the back of the group?
Like when black college students insist on “white-free” spaces on campus?

      • 0bsoleteMan

Like when BLM thugs ordered their white supporters to march at the back of the group?

To be fair I can side with BLM on that one. Self-hating whites deserve nothing but the utmost of contempt.

Why does Harvard have a racist dean of students? No, seriously, why is Harvard ok with racism? We all know degrees from Harvard are worthless, but they’re really trying to drive the point home now.

  • milonews is usually pretty clever & insightful but on this issue you’re astonishingly tone-deaf.
Just because I advocate for making the world less ominous & easier for the blind , doesn’t mean I denounce those who can see. How long will it take people to understand this simple concept.

“Black Lives Matter” doesn’t mean white lives don’t.
What don’t you get about that ??

    • Kimmy3

Because it’s gone off the rails where many BLM sympathizers say being white is immoral, evil, worthless, etc. If only they had added one word then their movement would not be so mis-aligned. Should read “Black Lives Matter, Also”

      • Paul

I doubt one word would have made much difference. The lack of it didn’t create the anti-white attitude of its supporters and adding ‘also’ or ‘too’ wouldn’t have changed their attitude.

    • Paul

I’m not quite sure what your comment has to do with this article as it doesn’t mention BLM. I assume you’re taking about the wider issue.

If BLM doesn’t mean that white lives don’t why are people, who probably support BLM, saying that this sign means that it’s not ok to be black? Why do many BLM supporters show disdain for white lives?

    • Dave Silva

black lives matter is a terrorist organization that has murdered police officers and loves saying white people should be killed. Your example proves the point that the left is pure evil.

    • Steve O

Why was there such a powerful reaction against the slogan “All lives matter?”

    • bookish1

      You are missing the point.
Every other ethnic group in this country is encouraged to be proud of its collective achievements.
White people — despite having invented most of the technology that makes modern life so easy and comfortable — are actively DISCOURAGED from expressing pride in themselves.

    • 0bsoleteMan

People who are saying “It’s OK to be White” aren’t:

      Killing cops
      Rioting
      Looting
      Burning down cities
      Blocking traffic

or doing anything that hurts anyone else.

    • Skyhawk

The small percentage of blind Americans do not account for the majority of crime. The blind community does not celebrate getting over, misogyny, drug abuse, hos, violence and illiteracy. Blind Americans do not kneel. Blind Americans do not destroy everything they touch.

  • Γεώργιος Αρχαιοκαπηλίδης

    I fucking love being white.

  • Lorandel

I am not proud of being white & straight male. Neither I am ashamed of it. I’m just OK with it. If you don’t like it, it’s your problem. 😉

    • Alessio Pinna

Dont mind being proud either. Its your ethnicity that gave the world technology and the modern understanding of human rights. Its your culture that allowed the latter to even be born, and flourish. There is a reason if the rest of the world is only playing catching up with the west.

  • Steve O

“It’s NOT okay to be white!
“Well, no I actually think it’s okay to be white.
“THAT’S A PROVOCATION! Whomst said that!!?”

  • How many “persons of colour” would be at Harvard without affirmative discrimination?

    My guess: NONE

  • Escala Blanco

    Pearl-clutching, secular church-ladies…
You can always count on these intersectionalists to project their own victim status upon things which a reasonable person would consider innocuous.

  • Hairatic Rick

Thank you, 4chan, for putting together such an easy way to show these anti white bigots for the haters they are. True, in their shall prejudiced brains they don’t accept that it is okay to be white. Stop the Alt-Left, SJW, BLM, Marxist feminist white genocide! 👊😠👌
    It
    Is
    Okay
    To
    Be
    White

  • bookish1

    4Chan trolls strike again!
    Bwahahahaha!

  • Ruth Gauthier

I would love to see thousands of stickers all over every leftist collage that demeans whites at every opportunity.

  • Bemyguest

I would never sport such a T-shirt because it gives aid and comfort to identity politics and because it is trivial. Like wearing a T-shirt that says “There is nothing wrong with blue eyes”.

But that having been said if this T-shirt causes some PC snowflake some existential pain then I am pleased by that.:D

  • Myste Laquinta

The best part of this article is the tweet at the end with the usage of, “whomst.”
KnowYourMeme puts it best: “Whomst is a fake word used to signal ironic superior intelligence.”

This person is unironically using the (non-)word whomst to signal their superior intelligence. Hurr. It really puts that type of person in perspective.

  • True.Epic.Crusader

Damn right it’s provocation. Provoking evil to a fight, that is.
    I want that t-shirt.

  • Timothy K. Ready

Alas, this is why I joined you…I am- GASP!- white. I had almost nothing to do w/ fording this precipice, yet over the wall the same I went. I’m white. My skin has nothing to do w/ your success, or failure. I’m white. And damn handsome. Fuck you Liberals.

  • Minerverse

How is saying “It’s okay to be white” and divisive statement? These people are damaged.

    • Bryce Byerley

that’s the secret…and what’s worse is /pol gave them the tools to avoid whole kerfuffle. If they would have ignored the issue or put out a statement on the lines of “yes…and water is wet as well” the whole thing would have been forgotten and /pol would have egg on it’s face. However…/pol knows it’s targets and know they can not resist the bait.

  • Fred Ducque

This is why we have the second amendment.

  • Lenoh

I reported Jess on all five of my Twitter accounts. Let’s watch the fireworks.

  • Chesapeake

You could turn this into an industry with all sorts of things that are okay. They shove their so-called inclusiveness and diversity down our throats constantly. Harvard needs an enema.

  • SteppyJ412

    “Whomst” is not a word.

  • Tek

why is MILO trying to profit off this? is it because he’s jewish? or because he can’t think of his own memes?
