Clooney has gone in hard on the sexual harassment and assault allegations leveled against Harvey Weinstein, blasting some media outlets, and deflecting accusations leveled against himself.
Although the actor has previously claimed he had never “seen any of this behavior” from Weinstein over their twenty-year friendship, he has since doubled back on his apparent shock.

Clooney, who broke into the world of film via Weinstein in 1996 for his role in From Dusk Til Dawn, claimed he had heard most of the rumors of Weinstein’s behavior come from the producer himself.

“He would say, ‘I had an affair with this actress or that actress.’ And I took all of that with a grain of salt. I thought he might have been chasing them,” Clooney said during a press conference for his film Suburbicon, which has already received terrible reviews.

“Somebody knew,” Clooney said, apparently pleading ignorance. “There were people that brought young actresses to his hotel room. Whoever had that story and didn’t write it should be held responsible. I want to know what kind of ad dollars were spent from The Weinstein Company and from Miramax, because we should have known this. This is violating women, this is assault. This is silencing women.”

“Yeah, he’s mean to work with, I knew that for a fact,” he added. “But the idea that he’s committed these kind[sic] of atrocities. I want to know who knew.”

It’s hard to take Clooney’s words seriously considering he admitted to being close friends with the producer for two decades.

“I’ve known Harvey for twenty years. He gave me my first big break as an actor in films on From Dusk till Dawn, he gave me my first big break as a director with Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. We’ve had dinners, we’ve been on location together, we’ve had arguments. But I can tell you that I’ve never seen any of this behavior—ever,” Clooney said in an interview with The Daily Beast.

Since the Weinstein scandal was exposed, Clooney has been accused of helping blacklist actresses who complained of sexual harassment.

ER actress Vanessa Marquez, who has hardly been seen on screen since her role in the medical drama, made the claim via Twitter on October 9.

“He’s not who he pretends [to be],” she added in another post. “Wells, NBC, Amblin, WB, cast & crew & my agents all complicit in my #Blacklist [for] speaking UP in ’95”

When one user expressed shock at the allegation, Marquez replied by saying, “He’s a monster in his own way… Everyone should know The Truth About Clooney.”

Clooney issued a statement following the accusations, once again claiming ignorance.

“I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted. I take her at her word,” the actor said, according to Page Six.

“I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show. I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor. If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to. The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t,” he added.

How many of fatboys casts-offs did you rape, Clooney? Trying to cover your ass, huh? Your movies suck, and God willing, so will you in prison.

    • DaisyToo

I’m more inclined to wonder how many boys Clooney raped.

“Who knew?” HE knew! Old giant noggin should start his ‘investigation’ with himself.

This is what CYA looks like…nice acting job, huh?

    • ntt1

they all act ,all the time, in time they lose them selves completely then comes the slide into drugs and madness. in the later stages they hallucinate that the world needs them as moral guides. its all part of the collapse.

  • L84Cabo

Clooney is either a liar or the dumbest dude in Hollywood. My bet is on both. All you have to do is take one look at that fat pig Weinstein and know that any interaction he got with these beautiful women couldn’t have been on the up and up.

    • ntt1

even if he was amazingly handsome that scrotal hair neck beard would still have been an effective repellent.

  • Scooterific2762 .

Oh, Clooney… Guess how many believe you? Check the attendance to your films.

    • Clooney is also a one-note actor who makes lousy movies. He sleep-walks through the Ocean series.

George is a liar. He wants to run for office in California, so he is coming out as if he is outraged. He thinks we are as stupid as he is…………………..

I used to respect Clooney for his artistic choices. But like all of liberal Hollywood, his true inner vileness was exposed over the election season. And now this.

  • DW78

Who knew? Everyone in Hollywood knew he was using the metaphoric casting couch. Even people on the outer edges of Hollywood knew, just not how many.

Open borders Clooney decides open borders Europe is too freakin dangerous for his family. To quote a valley girl I used to know “well duh!”

    • GTKRWN

We’ve been talking about Pedowood for decades, but a jewish-run industry kept getting 100% support from a jewish-owned media, while jewish talk show hosts chastised rape victims for “damaging the industry” by even talking about it. Coincidentally of course.

It’s almost as if a small incestuious tribe of people that control all you see and hear have been covering for each other, while slandering and destroying anyone who speaks out against them… Almost..

      • ntt1

you do realize whoooopeee Goldberg is not jewish at all? her name is as phony as her clip on dreds. she did defend Polanski by claiming it wasn’t rape rape but just drug induced under age child sodomy rape. cleared it right up for me.

Oh George, you’re such a feminist warrior. What would the world do without you?

  • GetInMyBellyNow

George, just get on with it. You have a life of luxury as an entertainer now and all you had to do was suckle on Weinstein’s anal warts.

  • PaleAle

George is trying out his acting skills on us.

  • GTKRWN

    >Clooney has gone in hard
I’m sure that’s not the first time that phrase was used in Pedowood.

  • Lbt

    Douche.

  • DaisyToo

Here’s what I’d like to know: Who really fathered Clooney’s children? A male surrogate or a turkey baster?

  • mark white

Time to act outraged when, and only when, caught.

  • De Plorables Unum

Once an actor, always an actor…feigned outrage to propel himself to top ‘director’.

  • Constitutionalist56

Looney Clooney fakes “Outrage”, first emotion you learn in acting class. I seem to remember you also had a very similar plot line in one of your movies, “Hail Caesar”; a Hollywood fixer that cleaned up after a “star’s” peccadillos. George, YOU KNEW about Weinstein and you DID NOTHING ABOUT IT! YOU have not got moral leg to stand on, let alone lecture anyone about your moral superiority on any subject.

  • Druz Oster

who knew….YOU DID GEORGE, you cant tell me you were friends for 20 years and knew nothing…rumors etc were and are all over, you are a liar George…..you are part of the problem just go away!!

  • Don Zaloog

I’m betting Clooney thinks all the young aspiring actresses he had sex with were doing it just because he George Clooney and not to advance their careers. There’s no possible way he didn’t know about this. What kind of business is done in someone’s hotel room, George?

You know what? This would be fine if they just admitted or silently accented that this is the culture of Hollywood. You use others and others use you. People do what they have to to get those incredibly lucrative positions. But they insist on pretending to be everyone’s moral betters. They want to lecture to the unwashed masses about women’s rights from atop their Ivory towers. More like glass house, idiot. Fucking hypocrites.

  • Hurry-2016
