As an Oscar-award winning actress that’s made millions of dollars, it’s not easy for Halle Berry to play the victim card.

But playing the victim card is so en vogue in Hollywood, Berry needed a way to claim victim status somehow. Eureka! Berry stumbled upon a stroke of genius, calling her former high school classmates racist bullies!

In an interview with People Entertainment, Berry said she was bullied, “because of the color of my skin,” adding:

“Because my mother was white and my father was black… we got called Oreos and names, and kids just didn’t understand, so we were different. We were the brunt of a lot of jokes. So, I think my need to please and my desire to achieve was because I was constantly trying to prove that I was as good as the other white students. I felt very ‘less than,’ and I thought, ‘If I can beat them at everything, then I can be as good as them.’”

In the age of the internet, however, a story like this is subject to instant fact checking. And Berry’s story didn’t check out.

On a Facebook group called “You know you grew up in Bedford,” centered on the city where Berry attended high school, her former classmates were not having any of Berry’s sob story.

Enjoy the comments below, as reported by PJMedia. Highlights from the real-time blasting of Berry’s origin story include the awkward details that Berry was actually voted prom queen by her “racist” classmates, and the high school actually had a significant percentage of minorities.

Rachel W.: “Class of ’86 here…..I didn’t know Halle personally so while I certainly can’t speak to her individual experience I can speak to how I looked at her and how all of my friends looked at her in high school. My female friends (black and white) and I thought she was gorgeous and wanted to look like her while my male friends (black and white) had massive crushes on her and wanted to date her. Curious also that she left out the fact she was elected Prom Queen by the entire student body, black and white.”

Rob C.: “She’s crazy, Bedford wasn’t all white. I grew up in Bedford and Bedford heights 35 years, there are plenty of black folks then and still are.”

Shannon T:  “I remember everyone always being in awww of Hallie. She was always gorgeous and everyone seemed to look up to her.”

James D.: “Bullsh*t, She was in my art class at Bedford HS, I talked to her everyday, she was a cheerleader too and treated like a queen! I always had respect for her until now!”

Jeff A.: “I remembered reading an article 10 or more years ago where she stated the same things.”

Cheryl M.: “She gave an interview on Lifetime about 20 years ago claiming all the same stuff”

Dawn T: “Halle is whining for attention. If she wanted to change the way things are she would be doing something, anything, for kids in her home town. She could easily afford to give a lot, but she doesn’t. What has she done in the last thirty years to help Bedford cheerleaders? Any scholarships for local disadvantaged girls? Has she built a playground? A shelter? Put any Oakwood kids through college? Seriously? What has she done for the biracial kids walking the path that was so tough for her?”

Erna B.: “She is not telling truth as she was Prom Queen voted by the entire class. Bedford schools have always been mix and everyone was happy was pretty friendly.”

Paul T.: “Class of 84. We were at least 40/60 and never heard anything other than how pretty she was. She was our prom queen in 84. Hollywood distorts things.”

Cindy K:  “I know her very well. This is another ‘Hollywood’ story that makes for a good interview. She was NEVER picked on! She was popular and very outgoing… Years ago in another interview, she said she was beaten by a high school boyfriend and went deaf because of it, that never happened! On Oprah, she said she was accused of “stuffing” the ballot box because she won prom queen, that never happened! She tied with Vicki and won the coin toss! See the pattern here?”

Karen Z.: “I totally agree. She was popular. She was a cheerleader in the band as a flag girl I believe. Everyone likes her. It’s all a story to get people to feel sorry for her. So sad she has to act that way.”

Wendy P.: “This isn’t the first time she has LIED about Bedford- 10 years ago in a Cosmo article she talked about how she experienced racism- I gaduated in ’81 she graduated a couple years later w/my sister and my dad was her mailman- as previously stated she was super popular, all the guys wanted to date her, all the girls wanted to be her, I don’ t know why she continues to say this- maybe for attention but I hate that it makes Bedford look bad”

Debbie M.: “Bedford was 35% minority when she attended. Being the principals daughter, I was called every name in the book. I had one student, who only knew who I was because I was “bud’s daughter” call me bit*h every single day in the hallway. I had bottles and rocks thrown through my house windows. Bomb threats were called to my home. That’s discrimination. But I dealt with it and I’ve never boo-hooed about it all over the media/Facebook. My brother was one of her best friends. He will attest that she is exaggerating. She needs to find something new to try to regain the spotlight.”

A lying Hollywood libtard. Who would’a thunk?

    • GTKRWN

What else can a millionaire elite do to maintain the mandatory victim status to keep her liberal card? All she has is either lying about racism, or lying about being raped, or whining about how she wasn’t paid as much as a male actor…

      • rusty

I’ve heard it referred to as the victim olympics.

  • Michael M

Damn. I always thought Halle was better than this. Sad.

    • Anthony Mxyzptlk

Michael M — all I know is that Hattie McDaniel and Butterfly McQueen never carried on like this, and I think that as black actresses in the 30s and 40s, they probably had a much tougher time of it than Halle Berry.

  • Brandon Willey

Everything all the time is always publicity. Haven’t we known Hollywood = Attention whores for like a long time now? How is any of this a surprise?

  • Haramarama

    She’s nuts anyway.

  • Jesse James

Why am I not surprised? She had her French Ex beat her daughter’s model father and conveniently had her mansion’s security cameras off around the time of pick up for custodial visitation.

This chick may be hot, but underneath, she is an ugly, evil troll. Burn that bridge in your mind. She ain’t worth it!

    • Unicorn Scrotum

She was hot 15 years ago.

      • Jesse James

I haven’t noticed her since her James Bond appearance. It wasn’t all that.

When will this need that some people have to feel like or portray themselves as a victim be diagnosed as a mental disorder? I feel like everyday I read about somebody lying or creating hoaxes or whining about imaginary hatred towards them.

    • Sarah

      It’s called Munchausen syndrome.

    • rergerger

It feels to me like a variant of the histrionic/narcissistic personality disorder informed by modern age politics, being desperate for attention these people turn to victimology because it’s such a readily available source for it.

  • Zipowitz

They all need to sit back and take it as responding is just showing how much more racist they actually are by denying the reality that only exists in Halle’s mind. You see this is how it works nowadays.

  • Mary Stevens

When all else fails, pull out the race card.

  • happytortuga

Biracial SJW seem to be the first to play the race card. It’s so predictable.

  • Dante Alighieri ????

Like the words “free”, “love” and “hero”, the words racist & racism have become meaningless.

    • Everybody uses these words assuming everybody else understands & means the same thing they do. They don’t.
    • The word Racist/Racist should be retired (& ignored) and given a gold-watch for its services.
    • The same goes for the words “reverse-racism”, homophobia (means a thousand things to a thousand different people) and blasphemy.
    • Any others I forgot about, hmmmm ??

    • DaisyToo

Victim. Perfectly good descriptor rendered meaningless by Leftists.

      • Dante Alighieri ????

        good one

        • DaisyToo

          😉

    • Law Williams

I agree with most of that…but the word God(and the being behind it) are not yet retired to me.

      • Morghanae

well, I think the term God is not correct. Supreme being is much more applicable.

        • Law Williams

I can agree to an extent. If I were calling him by his name, I would call him Yahweh(which even that is only theoretical as the scribes left letters out for reverence), but God is the germanic word the English translators chose so I just stick with that.

    • Kimmy3

Most people don’t know the difference between race and ethnicity. In reality, what most people perceive as racism is mostly due to a person’s social class.

      • Casey Kowalchyk

Same with privilege. Class privilege is really what people mean when they say white privilege.

        • Kimmy3

I think so. Privilege being the reaction to the attribute of “fill in the blank”. It’s human nature since the dawn of mankind that those with political power and money (regardless of race or ethnicity) have privilege…kind of an obvious statement. The whole white privilege argument is missing something and i haven’t yet worked it all out but it doesn’t hold water entirely.

    • Kimmy3

Oh, and “woke” should be obliterated from our discourse. It is a recent addition but needs to go the way of the dodo bird. And if African Americans insist on the continual use of this word then please use proper English…it’s awaken, not woke nor is it awoke since that is past tense.

    • rusty

Equality. Most probably the worst word of the lot.
If you look at Google Gate, almost every argument by the left is “equality”.

I believe in equal opportunity but I totally reject equality. Not only is it vague, it’s the golden ticket to “everybody wins a trophy”. Equality and feelings before facts are the poster children of the regressive left.

  • 0athkeeper

More claims of fake racial tension. It’s almost as if some blacks had an agenda…

  • Kelly Holmes

    Lol Sad but not unexpected…

  • J D

She is too busy making crap movies and getting married & divorced over & over to tell the truth

  • artiefischel

I like the “She tied with Vicki and won the coin toss!” .

  • One-Eye

If she was being called an ‘Oreo’ I’d be willing to lay money that it was by the black students.

    • Law Williams

Can confirm, had a mixed girlfriend. To me, she was just her, and she was also black. It wasn’t me or any other white person that saw her as mixed, it was other blacks. She actually said a lot of black people don’t see mixed people as “real blacks”, almost like a second rate citizen where she came from. Kinda creepy

      • One-Eye

This is why mixed blacks always have the biggest racial chips on their shoulders.

If they are weak people they buy into the regressive bullshit and need to “prove their blackness”; so they would rather identify with the black father that abandoned them than the white mother who raised them (see: Halle Berry, Alicia Keys).

And Colin Kaepernick is a whole other case. Raised by white parents in white neightbourhoods. But he spends years in that environment of pro football and he has to prove that he is ‘woke’ by rejecting everything he ever saw and learned.

‘Black Culture’ is toxic and will ruin anyone who subscribes to it.

        • Paardestaart

          You forgot Obama..

          • One-Eye

Of course!! He is the apex of this.

        • Luckylucylou

I’m from the South, home of the anti-segregation movement & birthplace of the KKK. I read your comments & it makes me glad I live in the South b/c I know that this happened in some urban Northern enclave. Despite years of unrest & maybe b/c of that unrest, the races (at least in my area) seem to get along better. It is primarily black on black hate & drug-related crime regardless of race that creates problems here. Not to say there is no racism. There will be racism as long as this earth stands. While still working, I supervised a workforce that was probably 75% black. I loved my job & for the most part got a long with all of the staff. Once I had a white employee tell me that a black employee was racists…made no difference to me in the way I expected her to perform her job or how acted towards her. Another time I had a group of black employees come to warn me that a black employee I had been verbally warning about her job performance was crazy & carried a huge knife at all times…that got my attention & DID impact my supervisory skills. She was fired; I parked at the front door for a week, & learned situational awareness. I have also taught school as a substitute, from the early 80s-late 90s. The only problem we ever had was when a white girl ran out on the football field & kissed a black player after a game….no trouble at the game, no trouble at school, but her father was no happy when he heard. It didn’t help that she was 13 & the player was 18.

        • Bill

Let’s not forget Obama – he was the biggest one of all. The whole mixed thing drove him nuts. And it was mostly the blacks that gave him shit over it not the whites.” I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect I was ingratiating myself to whites),” From KING Obama’s book “Dreams From My Father”. Messed up people. That can’t accept who they are, so they last out at others – it’s sad really…

          • One-Eye

Of course. These people learn from an early age the advantages to identifying black; the doors that are opened to you if you show a shred of ability.

Ann Coulter ruthlessly mocked Halle Berry’s hysterical Oscar speech. Berry spouted off about how her win was for all women of colour who have a hard time in the entertainment induystry.

Ann said: “It’s true. Slightly cocoa-coloured women with idealised caucasian features and huge breasts have traditionally had such a hard time.”

Look at how much Liberals pleasure themselves over Trevor Noah. Another mulatto with barely a drop of coffee in his skin. But, naturally, he speaks of the horrors of apartheid (something that ended before he was born) and acting like he’s some triumphant survivor of virulent racism.

    • GTKRWN

I grew up in a majority white community. We had like four black kids in my entire high school for my four years. All of them were incredibly popular. I was friends with three of them. Smart, well educated, hell one was even on the swim team. We didn’t see “racism” until the school administration decided they needed to “diversify” and started bussing in ghetto-niggers from nearby cities. Those niglets hated white people, but damn they hated those four poor black kids the most. They’d attack them daily, both physically and verbally, for the crime of not being niggers.

For decades I believed blacks can be saved as a culture by culling 95% of them that have gone KANGZ then raising the young as European instead of tribal Africans. Then BlackCrimesMatter happened and I learned that even those “successful college educated blacks…” can’t get all the nigger out. It’s genetic.

      • Morghanae

intellect is learned, not genetic …

take a bbay and place it on an island, it won’t come out human but more like a cave man

reason is learned behavior, not instinctive

        • GTKRWN

Take an african and put him in the care of a rich white family, with access to the best schools, and he still ends up with an IQ one standard deviation lower than a white population, and lower still than asians.

The amount one learns is based on your education. The ability to learn is genetic. Blacks as a whole have deficiencies in abstract thinking and awareness. No amount of liberal tears is going to change this.

The science is settled, as Bill Nye would say.

          • rusty

If it were science, you’d back it up with evidence.

    • SuicideChickenWing

      You read my mind.

  • CrusadaB

We don’t need her or Hollywood. Cut the cord of these fakers. I mean actors. Oops! Would love for all of Hollywood to have to sell everything they own when it’s all over.

  • Allan Ong

Why be so sensitive about race?

  • AverageJoe1987

    Halle Berry is left-wing trash.

  • SBGrin

Her career is tanking… so stirs up controversy to get talked about again, thats the new leftist tactic

  • Steve O

    “She was NEVER picked on!”

    — It’s hard to say that someone NEVER had a negative experience.

    • jackp_7788

You’re right. We’ve ALL been picked on at some time. It’s what kids do. But I think Berry is exaggerating.

  • tn_tea _ partyer_420

    OK, liberals lie… next.

  • Easy Way #6

I don’t see the problem. In retrospect she says she was bullied and harassed because of her race. This is exactly the same as a girl having sex at a party and days or weeks later claiming she was raped. We are required to believe the party girl, so why not Hallie? Why should we believe her lying racist ‘friends’?

  • megajess

I worked in that area for years. Bedford Warrensville Hts. etc has always been integrated, always. It’s a nice working/middle class area. Folks always got along. Halle Berry is full of it.

  • ssgtnelson

My black wife was mocked a lot in school as well because she is incredibly dark… she wasn’t mocked by the white students. The light skinned black students were the problem.

  • Pablo Jay

    She does racist well.

  • WY – Love it or Leave

Halle – I will NEVER watch another one of your movies. You sunk yourself to alley Trash! You Bollywood Bozo’s have No Shame! I hope you never have to go back to your childhood home again. I don’t think you’d feel very welcome after trashing all your classmates and, truly the entire town you Racist Trash!

Anyone but me notice that Liberal focus is solely on “Pity Me Entitlement”. Those Evil creatures have NO Gratitude for anything or anyone.

  • Bill

Can we PLEASE give some attention to her. She lived the life most high school students would die for and that was not enough. She HAD a wonderful Hollywood career, still not enough. A very pretty woman with many tumultuous relationships Annnnnnd It’s no secret she has mental issues. At the end of the day, she is still a HS Prom Queen that won on a coin toss. She was in fact never right again.

  • Eimi1003

Is there a rule in the entertainment industry that all non-whites (and mixed race people) must play the victim and play the race card? I guess there is.
