After his daughter was born in March, a man by the name of Ludo Gabriele decided to launch a blog called “Woke Daddy” to document his experience of raising a girl.
According to Broadly – VICE’s feminist offshoot – Gabriele is a 33-year-old father from France who moved to New York City 10 years ago and works as an entrepreneur and writer.
“Gabriele says his first feminist ‘aha’ moment was when he quit his job and felt uncomfortable, even wrong, for not fulfilling the role of the traditional male breadwinner,” the outlet states.
In one of his early “Woke Daddy” posts, Gabriele discusses “coming to term with my feminine side.”
In the piece, he discusses the concept of “a man box.”
“I personally came to the realization that I spent most of my life in a man box, without even knowing it existed,” he writes.
“Like many men, I was not comfortable with my feminine side. I buried it so deep inside myself because my environment made it dangerous for me to be sensitive.”
According to Gabriele, when he had a daughter and realized he was afraid of the day she would begin interacting sexually with men, he decided he was “responsible as a father to break many destructive stereotypes around manhood and in society in general.”
Gabriele’s piece goes on to insist that feminism is really just the push for women and men to be equal.
“How can any reasonable person argue with that?” he demands. “How is it fair that women make $0.75 ($0.55 if you are Latina) on each dollar a man makes.”
Sigh… not this crap again.
Gabriele’s piece ends with a notice for all fathers.
“If you are a father that have [sic] witnessed child birth and are not a feminist, I believe that you are a douchebag of unspeakable proportions. That’s right. I am judging you. If you are not able to show infinite gratitude to your partner after you saw her agonizing in pain for hours to bring your child to this world, I want nothing to do with you.”
Shockingly, not everyone sees eye-to-eye with Gabriele on this whole feminist thing.
According to Broadly, “some of the comments Woke Daddy receives on Facebook are extremely negative, with one example calling him a ‘cuck for life’ who identifies ‘with a man hating victimhood movement meant to demonize men.'”
Meanwhile on Twitter…
Toxic Masculinity is BS. Its a myth for those that want to turn men into women. We're different, that's good.

Broadly quotes Gabriele as stating that “he feels mostly unbothered by trolls.”
“I get a lot of negativity from insecure men,” he reportedly said. “But it does not bother me, I was expecting it. If I manage to plant the seed and instil a spark of critical thinking, my job is done.”
“I just want to live in a world where my daughter can look for a job and be hired for her skills, and not for the way she looks. A world where she is not short changed on her pay and where she is not sexualized on a daily basis,” Broadly’s profile on Gabriele concludes.
