One of the men responsible for Saturday’s attack in London reportedly once appeared on a UK TV special called “The Jihadis Next Door.”

The Metropolitan Police took to Twitter earlier today to release the identities of two of the three attackers.

According to a statement from police. Redouane was a 30-year-old, allegedly of Moroccan and Libyan descent.

Butt, on the other hand, was a 27-year-old British citizen originally from Pakistan.

According to Heavy, Butt was featured in the TV special “The Jihadis Next Door,” which shows him engaged in a confrontation with a police officer after being observed praying with a black ISIS flag in an English park.

“We’d like to speak to you and gain your personal details,” a police officer says in the clip Butt appears in.

He then speaks up, stating, “no, no personal details are being given.”

“Don’t touch me, don’t touch me,” one of Butt’s companions states as a police officer approaches the group.

The officer informs the men that they’re being detained as part of a search.

The men are very confrontational, surrounding the police officer and asking him, “are you crazy?” with Butt demanding, “what are you touching me for? What warrant?”

According to The Telegraph, “The Jihadis Next Door” was filmed two years ago.

The outlet, in its original review of the documentary, describes it as an “eye-opening film about extremist hate preachers in the UK.”

Heavy states that the documentary shows Butt hanging out with a street preacher who openly discusses wanting the ISIS flag to be hung on 10 Downing Street and for Sharia to control England someday.

According to The Independent, Butt’s neighbors claim they were not aware he had appeared in the documentary, describing him instead as a “family man.”

A quick look at the Channel 4’s website finds that the public broadcaster responsible for “The Jihadis Next Door” has apparently removed reference of the film from its website.

Needless to say, news of Butt’s appearance in the documentary – which evidences that several people did know about his extremism – is not sitting well with many.
