Some liberal professors have already begun to use Wednesday’s shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise as an excuse to push their anti-gun narrative.

Physics professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Daniel Blair, tweeted “I wonder if @SteveScalise will rethink his A+ NRA rating.”

He later deleted the message.

History professor at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, Karl Qualls, said that the incident happened due to ease of access to guns.

He also continued by saying asking if it is “too much to ask our legislators to AT LEAST work 9-5. Especially since no real legislation passed this term.”

He also used the UPS center shooting to back up his own political view

Qualls was reportedly contacted by Campus Reform to explain what he meant by the tweets.

“I think all citizens can agree that we would like to see our elected officials do something (tax or healthcare reform, a budget, rational gun reform….anything),” he told the outlet.

“Not a single piece of legislation has passed Congress and made it to the president’s pen. Both parties need to do their jobs on a daily basis like the citizens they represent. That is why we send them to DC.”

Robin Morris, a professor at Agnes Scott College, said in a tweet that she wished Scalise a full recovery, excluding the part of him that thinks guns are a good idea.

Robin also retweeted a status by David Frum, a senior editor of The Atlantic.

This is particularly interesting, considering that the shooter was from Illinois.

“People have a right to guns for hunting and for protection – with proper background checks, licensing, and training,” said Morris in an email to Campus Reform.

“My tweet regarding Rep. Scalise meant to express that I hope he recovers fully and that he will revisit his beliefs on gun control as so many of us who have been touched by gun violence have done.”

Campus Reform reports that Morris deleted one of her tweets about the situation, which claimed that the reason the shooter was alive because of his race.

“Well we already knew it was a white guy who did the shooting. They got him into custody instead of killing him,” read the tweet.

In her explanation to Campus Reform, she reportedly claimed that she “made the mistake historians hate to do—I tweeted without enough evidence.”

First of all, how is it that all these anti-gun people are blaming guns for the attack, but none are crediting the guns of the Capital Police that kept the attack from killing anyone. Secondly Robin Morris in a since deleted tweet said ““Well we already knew it was a white guy who did the shooting. They got him into custody instead of killing him,”” Except they did kill him. And really, we’re gonna try and make this about race and police discrimination. Just no. It’s time that the MSM that pushes out so much President Trump hate, has a visit from the FBI, or the Secret Service where sedition is explained to them. Better yet the people who were attacked (Best wishes for a speedy recovery to them all) need to sue the MSM for creating the toxic environment that put bullseyes on the Republicans, and their supporters.

      One word: narrative.

It is more important than truth.
It is more important than facts.
It is more important than people’s lives.

To the regressives and the MSM, narrative is the only thing that matters.

Oh yeah, guns won’t stop guns,
Hugs will stop guns. Fucking turds.

  • barred

Funny, a good guy with a gun actually stopped the bad guy with a gun. Guess she’s not to bright.

College professor- they read great once they pass everything they pick up thru an ideological filter…

      • Alec Horne

They spend too much time inside their own heads.

Not to mention that the Ivory Tower express goes from prep school to university to grad school to total isolation from the actual world in professorship and tenure. These people- like Miss “We Need Some Muscle Over Here” in Mizzou- have literally never had a real job in their lives, or dealt w/ actual Americans who have been shafted in that world…

          • Alec Horne

The ivory tower because it is aloof. Pristine and above the nitty-gritty of the world.

I’m with you. A good guy with a gun ended the bad guy with a gun. The DC police who were on duty, the good guys with guns, prevented even further violence. So, they are mostly stupid and talking out of the part of the body they think with, their asses.

  • Zyko

Bad guy with shitty gun dead, all good guys with nice guns and proper training all still alive.

The comments on Robin Morris’ twitter are hillarious.

  • Thomas Mc Cormick

VA does indeed do background checks- as required by *FEDERAL LAW*
Nobody in the US requires licensing for long guns
The states that do require registration of firearms still lead THE WHOLE WORLD in gun homicide
It’s impossible to “conceal carry” a long gun- it’s called transporting in a case
Open carry…. wait, what happened to “conceal carry long gun?” Which is it?

David Frum, you’re drunk- log off the Internet, dude.

She owes every officer there an apology . Her tweet about the guy is alive cause he his white means even though she was wrong – is the same as saying every cop on scene was a racist . What a stupid bitch .

    • Marie Noybn

not to mention the fact that the bad guy is NOT alive heh

Laughing at the first professor who thinks Congressmen should ‘at least work 9-5’ … They started their baseball practice – to raise lots money for charity – at about 6:30 a.m., before starting their workday.

I wonder if he works more than 3 hours a week teaching whatever it is he does about Russia?

    • jbo5112

Probably not. He was too lazy to see that there had been 39 or 40 laws passed when he accused them of passing absolutely nothing. It took all of 1 Google search and 2 clicks.

      • DaisyToo

I’m sure you’re correct. And even if he did bother to learn what work the Congressional republican caucus had done, he’d hate their pro America accomplishments anyway.

  • Large Basket

if guns are the problem then mc calluf would be correct: 97 million people a day would be shot

  • Alec Horne

Yes, we’ve just had a tragic shooting in Virginia and another in San Francisco. But consider, America has never had a Spanish Inquisition, a Napoleon, a Hitler, a Stalin nor a Mussolini. We haven’t had death camps nor a Guillotine fest. Civil War POW camps were horrible but the prisoners got out at the end of the war and in relocation camps of WW2, the people were treated humanely. As long as we keep our guns, we never will have any of these things. The greatest mass murders of all time are governments.
