A notice on Evergreen State College’s website has announced that the school will be closing down immediately “in response to a direct threat to campus safety.”

As KIRO7 reports, tensions have been running high at the school amid calls by several members of the student body for white people to leave the campus for a full day as part of a “day of absence” to raise awareness about racism.

According to K5, students are asked to “leave campus or return to their residence halls and await further instruction.”

The outlet further states that the decision to shut down the campus for a day comes following a threat of “campus violence” from “an unknown person.”

This comes after video went viral showing several students at the college raising hell in a series of anti-white protests triggered by the refusal of one white professor to heed the students’ demands to vacate Evergreen State College for a day.

Black supremacists take over Evergreen College

Pure madness.

Posted by Milo Yiannopoulos on Wednesday, May 31, 2017

As reported previously, the students seen in that footage subsequently demanded that the school’s administration take it down, insisting it had been “stolen by white supremacists.”

According to Fox News, the shutdown of Evergreen State College “comes on the same day that Republican Representative Matt Manweller announced a three-pronged legislative response to recent incidents at the college, which followed one white professor’s refusal to leave campus for a “Day of Absence,” requiring all white students and faculty leave the premises for a day of diversity classes.”

The outlet states that Manweller will be introducing a bill to revoke the school’s public funding and will investigate “whether any civil rights have been violated.”

“Colleges and universities need to be a place that is open to debate and the free exchange of ideas regardless of skin color, religion or ethnicity,” he reportedly told FOX Business. “Public money should never be spent on institutions that advocate for openly racist policies.”

This is a developing story. Please stay tuned for updates.

This is all the predictable result of elevating thugs to the status of victims. Instead of running these colleges like schools, they’ve been turned into freak shows, with the freakiest and most dangerous “students” given the most authority.

  • EyeVey

Unbelievable that behavior such as this for so long.

  • David Watts

Hey Hey, Ho Ho: The More They Learn, The Less They Know!

  • Uncle Sham

Why are these students paying tens of thousands in tuition just so they can stand on a welfare line?

    • Stefanie

Cause they never intended on paying their tuitions in the first place because … Slavery. Lol

    • jenn l

THEY aren’t paying in all likelihood. The hypocrisy of affirmative action and other policies based on skin color. It should ALL be immediately dismantled. Financial assistance should only be based on financial struggles, not on gender, race ,or color

      • DaisyToo

I’m thinking you meant this too: Financial assistance should also be based upon legitimate academic achievement as well as true financial need.

        • jenn l

Yeah, I guess I really see that as a given. However I actually have friends that can barely spell, that have had colleges reach out to them, offering a free ride for a degree. They weren’t even LOOKING into further education.

          • DaisyToo

            That’s a shame.

  • anna

Go Matt manweller! I’m happy someone is responding to this appropriately.

  • memphis

Let them do their work. This will cause more damage to the liberal left then it will help these students.

  • Michael Allen

“The outlet states that Manweller will be introducing a bill to revoke the school’s public funding and will investigate ‘whether any civil rights have been violated.'”
An entire race of people in the university were told not to come to school for a day because their skin was a certain color. If that does not violate any civil rights, then I guess I don’t know what civil rights are.

    • Tamyra Baker Zeller

In this case it isnt… the school holds this “day without” event anually, as a way to bring attention to racism. In the past it was the black students and faculty that left, this year the school decided to change it up have have the white students and professors leave. The diference is that in the past it has always been a voluntary event and this year it was made mamdatory. The professor in question (a liberal btw) wrote a letter stating that it should still be voluntary, stated he would remain on campus and that resulted in these protest and threats on his life.

      • Michael Allen

I would like to think there is a big difference between a bunch of student organizing to go off campus, and a bunch of students demanding everyone else get off campus.

      • Zen Bbq

In this case, it is. Since it became mandatory, it became a violation of civil rights.
Also, since the teacher was threatened with exercising his civil rights (i.e. right to freedom of speech), it’s violation of his/her civil rights and the administration should be held accountable for his safety.
It’s choice that determines if it’s a civil rights issue. If what you say is true, Rosa Parks’ civil rights weren’t violated on that city bus in Burmingham, AL.

        • DEPLORABLE Grandma Susan

          Perfect answer, Thank you!

This was a great response. 100+ likes.

        • JenMalice

YES!!! Well said! It seems that the connotation (vs the true meaning) of words such as”racism” and “civil rights” only serves to benefit people of color. Racism is wrong no matter who the perpetrator or the victim is. In the United States, everyone’s civil rights need to be protected, not just those with minority status. Until these highly educated ignoramuses can figure that out, they will remain forever ignorant!

          • David

I don’t think ignorance has anything to do with it.

      • January

In this case it is a civil rights issue. Making it mandatory that all whites leave the campus just made it that way. The professor that wrote that letter was accused of making racial remarks. I read what he wrote and there was nothing racial about it. Nobody has the right to demand that one race leave. It wasn’t the whites demanding that the blacks leave. It wasn’t the whites screaming how they hate the blacks. I hope they do hold the funding to this school and investigate what is going on. Why in the hell were they even giving any race a voluntary day off?

      • Joshua Weiser

This should have never started for any race color or creed

    • Matt M

The Ivys and prestigious golf courses should get ready to polish up their old “whites only” signs if thats happens.. (/sarc)

    • Piltdown Ghost

They’re not racists, they just really hate Limp Bizkit.

  • Muh edjumakation!

  • BSDetector

Man oh man, wait until they hit the real world and they get a boss that doesn’t give a sh!t about your feelings!!

  • DEPLORABLE Grandma Susan

Just let them have the whole damn school. They can “teach” each other! They know everything, haven’t they told us that?

  • 123

  • Charles Goodspeed

Nothing funnier then a Black in College!

  • DaisyToo

But who’s going to give us our free meals when the school closes?

  • Chris Lamparello

Both of my ex- business partner’s parents were in the Holocaust. Even they, however, refused to think of themselves as “victims.” They held their heads high and kept their dignity.

    • Matt M

Have you ever gotten into political discussions with him/her? I still don’t understand why the Jews, Asians, and other hard-working minorities, who’s cultures seem to be about hard work, accountability, and mostly conservative values, seem to vote heavily Democratic. Sorry. a bit off topic but I’m curious.

      • diane rogers

Because in the old days people still did discriminate because of ethnicity. During a certain period in history, the Democrats did a pretty good job of claiming to be the party of anti-discrimination, i.e., the civil rights era. Politics have changed dramatically since then, of course, but there are hold overs from those days who don’t see the new Democratic party for what it is….a sell out to globalism, feminism, socialism, etc. This is changing as more and more hard working minority groups, especially Asians and Mexicans, who have adapted for several generations now and who have good moral character, are going rogue and splitting from the Democrats. They are seeing the destructive forces in their own party. It just takes time. It is a great topic that I have delved into myself.

    • So, the advice is what, never fight ?

      • Scott

In their case, once they were tossed into those hellholes, outside of escape the only option to fight the Nazis was to survive.

      • I_h8_disqus

Victims never fight. Identity politics isn’t fighting. It is playing the perpetual victim. Fighters wouldn’t resort to racist actions. They would study hard, shed the cultures that tell them to be victims, work hard, and raise strong families.

  • Mary Crohan

They want to bring attention to racism by being racists. Asking one group of people to stay away based solely on the color of their skin is…RACIST.

  • Matt M

Degrees from that school are going to be equivalent on their resumes to a six-month stint at Burger King.

    • Rhett Jones

Burger King is one of the places their students intern at

      • Scott

I don’t think Burger King would even hire them as speed bumps in their parking lot; They’d crumple under the pressure.

    • Scott

That’s an insult to Burger King employee everywhere! ????

      • Matt M

        Well played

    • Blew It In Hong Kong

I would not hire anyone from that “school”.

      • Scott

Good point. It’s like calling day care centers “learning academies”.

  • John Galt

The proper response. Taxpayers should not be paying for racists to take over property not their own nor destroying the learning environment. The constant use of the word “equity” indicates a total opposition to equality; not acceptable.

  • Bill Weymouth

Pity those who have Evergreen on their resumes.

    • Elle Ay

      And Bucknell.

  • Jerald

Forcing people out of an institute that is payed for by themselves, and the government, for their skin color. This is cut-and-dry racism.

  • Mykeru

It’s disheartening to see in 2017 that western culture is holding these students back from participating in the African technological frontier. The fact that white people would take such efforts to hold them back must be very damaging for these children, no less than 18 years old.

  • Bryce Corbin

If you insist on sending North American Pavement Apes to college, this is what you get.

  • Elisa Lenz

Liberal teachers are getting a dose of what they have been preaching for years. I had the best laugh ever while watching this. You know all those professors voted for Obama and Hillary so now they’re getting their just deserts. Absolutely love this!

  • James Childress

I have an idea and it’s a rather crazy and radical one. How about if you don’t want to be taught by white teachers or be around whites, go find another college or better yet, save you money(or ours if on assistance) and drop out because clearly the education you are getting isn’t doing you a bit of good. Colleges should expel any student who makes such forceful demands to violate the rights of others to their education.

  • Noishkel

Hell, has anyone here actually looked into Evergreen? It’s one of the worse of the worse of bad liberal arts class. It’s the kind of shit hole you send your kid to and they come back with a degree in feminist studies with a minor in interpretive Marxist basket weaving.

Evergreen should just STAY closed and the land turned into a strip mall. At least then all of those liberal arts majors would have a job to do after they got out of it.

  • Hairatic Rick

First EC had a “day of absence” now they are taking another day off these people don’t want to show up for classes. I bet they still demand to pass ????

  • Hairatic Rick

Racism had just about ended in America so to keep their victim status they have to make it up. Fun fact, today and another time these last months there has been found a rope hanging in the African American museum. Come on three guesses who put it there. HA! ????

Extortion (also called shakedown, outwrestling and exaction) is a criminal offense of obtaining money, property, or services from an individual or institution, through coercion. It is sometimes euphemistically referred to as a “protection racket” since the racketeers often phrase their demands as payment for
“protection” from (real or hypothetical) threats from unspecified other parties. Extortion is commonly practiced by organized crime groups. The actual obtainment of money or property is not required to commit the offense. Making a threat of violence which refers to a requirement of a payment of money or property to halt future violence is sufficient to commit the offense. Exaction refers not only to extortion or the demanding and obtaining of something through force,[1] but additionally, in its formal definition, means the infliction of something such as pain and suffering or making somebody endure something unpleasant.[2]

    Extortion is distinguished from robbery.
In robbery, whether armed or not, the offender takes property from the victim by the immediate use of force or fear that force will be immediately used (as in the classic line, “Your money or your life.”)
Extortion, which is not limited to the taking of property, involves the verbal or written instillation of fear that something will happen to the victim if they do not comply with the extortionist’s will. Another key distinction is that extortion always involves a verbal or written threat, whereas robbery does not. In United States federal law, extortion can be committed with or without the use of force and with or without the use of a weapon.

    In blackmail,
which always involves extortion, the extortionist threatens to reveal information about a victim or their family members that is potentially embarrassing, socially damaging, or incriminating unless a demand for money, property, or services is met.

The term extortion is often used metaphorically to refer to usury or to price-gouging, though neither is legally considered extortion. It is also often used loosely to refer to everyday situations where one person feels indebted against their will, to another, in order to receive an essential service or avoid legal consequences.

Neither extortion nor blackmail requires a threat of a criminal act, such as violence, merely a threat used to elicit actions, money, or property from the object of the extortion. Such threats include the
filing of reports (true or not) of criminal behavior to the police, revelation of damaging facts (such as pictures of the object of the extortion in a compromising position), etc.

Just a friendly reminder to those protesting students that white people invented college.

  • megajess

I can’t even listen to this Orwellian sh*t. What really angers me – tax dollars go to this sewer. Pretty sure enrollment is going to drop way down. Just like at MIZZOU. These black kids haven’t a clue what racism is. They do know quite a bit about whining and bullying though.
