Following the intense backlash to Kathy Griffin’s now-infamous ‘Trump beheading’ photo, the actress and comedian insisted that her photo was not meant to incite violence against the President.

“OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans to anyone, ever,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “I’m merely mocking the Mocker in Chief.”

While it’s certainly arguable as to whether or not Griffin’s photo incited violence against President Donald Trump, by her own standards she absolutely was inciting violence.

Behold, a tweet Griffin herself posted in 2011 following the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

Here’s the “violence-inciting” map Griffin was speaking of.

Yup, that statement hasn’t aged well – and many people have pointed that out.

As reported previously, Griffin has been fired from CNN and cut off from Squatty Potty following her controversial photo.
