Peter Rosenberg, an ESPN radio co-host, says that Colin Kaepernick isn’t having luck finding a new team because of his political stances and that shameful for the NFL.

Speaking on ESPN’s ‘Coast to Coast’ on Friday, Rosenberg said the following – transcribed by Breitbart.

“[T]he bottom line is Colin Kaepernick is not getting a job in this league, not because of the kind of player that he is, but because of his political stance and because of the fact teams don’t want to stand next to him,” Rosenberg told host Cari Champion. “I think it is shameful and embarrassing for the league as a whole.”

He later added, “This guy is working hard to be in this league and won’t get an opportunity, and we have to talk about why that is. And the fact is teams are scared of the backlash they will get if they sign Colin Kaepernick and I think that is shameful and disappointing.”

Rosenberg has long been a supporter of Kaepernick. See a clip of him praising the athlete’s “activism” below.

Rosenberg’s Twitter page is probably the only thing that’s worse…

When you’re done cringing, watch MILO school this SJW to help you recover:

Or, it could be that the guy simply sucks. Kap that is. The SJW guy I have never heard of,so…

    • David Watts

Correct. Krapernick could be the biggest flag-waving conservative patriot the NFL has even seen… and he still wouldn’t get signed. Due to extreme suckage. The staggeringly low IQ doesn’t help, either, but other athletes have gotten by well enough with that. When he had Jim Harbaugh there to think for him, he was actually effective.

      • Kristen Collins

He just plain sucks even the Browns said no ????????????

  • Rekt

In other words; fans of the sport don’t like him. Simple.
Quit being a whiny bitch and play your game. That’s the message.

  • livinfree2010

The problem is that Colin Krapernick just actually sucks, so there’s no upside to a team hiring him on.

  • Tanker74

    Rosenberg, E.S.A.D.

CK is not being denied a job in the NFL because of his political stance. He is being denied a job because OF THE WAY he expressed his political stance. The First amendment guarantees Freedom of speech but doesn’t insulate speakers from the consequences. The owners also have constitutional rights and are exercising them.

  • Clay James Belter

Yes it could be because of his political stance. More in how he chooses to express it. The problem is that fewer and fewer people have been watching the NFL because of players like him. That’s bad for business because the money that the teams and ESPN get is when people tune in and/or buy tickets. And the fewer that do this, the less money they get. Fans don’t like him and won’t watch anything he’s associated with so he’s effectively dead wood and a guarantee that you’re going to see less income when he’s involved.

He’s free to have his political views and he’s free to express them how he wishes, but he is not protected from consequences such as this. No one is physically attacking him, he’s not being censored and he’s not being imprisoned for these (same can’t be said for many conservatives though) so his Freedom of Speech is not in peril. Face the facts ESPN, him, you guys and those like you have been complete and utter assholes and are now reaping what you sowed. You’re going to find yourselves out of work and viewed as the piss stains you are because you don’t understand how the Free Market works. If you insult, alienate and piss off over half of your customers, you’re going to suffer for it. Especially considering most of your audience is more right leaning, conservative whites anyway, so calling them racists, bigots, sexists, etc. was practicing business suicide. You’d have died faster if you were Nascar and attempting this crap but still. Don’t piss off the vast majority of your audiences just so you can virtue signal to the elitists and SJW’s who aren’t even really your main audience anyway.

    • Rmarciano

He just can’t play in a team effectively,. It has nothing to do with his politics, the only reason he is in the position he is, is because of his running speed. His arm while powerful can’t aim for shit

      • dipdawg

Not to mention he is not a leader in the locker room. his presence causes problems not leadership.

  • Scott

Thank God, I hope other athletes take the hint.. even if they are an all-star they don’t want that toxic shit in the locker room. I’m looking at you, Carmelo Anthony, no one gives a shit about athletes’ opinions on the issues. Period.

  • AverageJoe1987

He’s disrespectful trash and advocated the domestic terrorism of BLM.

He made his bed, can’t cry racism now that he’s having to lie in it.

  • Mary Crohan

Actions have consequences! Kaepernick deserves every thing that is happening to him. I don’t watch football to have politics shoved down my throat… I DON’T WATCH ESPN FOR THE SAME REASON!

  • 1st Amend.

It’s not shameful at all. People don’t want to be around him because he is toxic. If he cared about Black Lives and not just Virtue signaling, he would be trying to stop Blacks from killing Blacks in record numbers instead of bitching about Police. NFL is entertainment not a political debate. If he wants a political debate he should run for office. If I work at IBM and all of a sudden start spewing political dogma every chance I get, they would probably not renew my contract either. That’s not shameful.

  • Jamt2112

this is supposed to be a game and about winning. political stances have no place on that field. to show the incredible amount of disrespect that colin did, he’s getting exactly what he deserves. for wingnuts like this guy to be taking a soap box stance to try to get him back into the game…well, I suggest rosenblow shut his hole.
colin needs to apologise for his actions and remember..it’s not about your political views. it’s about your team, the game and respecting that. keep your views to yourself. everyone else seems to be able to

  • Ralph Anderson

That is why ESPN is going bankrupt and their viewership has fallen precipitously.

    • Kristen Collins

Too much politics I’m so glad ESPN is getting the backlash it deserves. All their on air pundits dissing the president? I turn that shit right off, you will not get my Neilson rating. I’ve been over ESPN since Trump announced he was running. They as a network took it way too far and conservatives are giving them a taste of their own medicine by turnng the channel???????????? Bye ESPN

  • Charles Goodspeed

This crow can kiss my Ass!

  • m00npenny

Kaepernick is a racist, I wouldn’t stand next to him either.

  • TR

He was offered the job as jockstrap cleaner but turned it down. His fault.

  • PunJabber

He had some publicity capital from being a football “star”, however dim. He invested it in seasoning his dish with those capers. The public didn’t like the taste. De gustibus non disputandum espn.

  • 0bsoleteMan

Remember kids, the taxpayer-subsidized welfare queen NFL didn’t all of a sudden decide that they love the USA. There are other players who sat for the anthem who were signed.

  • Jason_Thompson

I think it’s shameful and disappointing that Rosenberg is using Kaepernick’s name to get a mention in the ‘news’. Why doesn’t Rosenberg hire him? Why doesn’t Rosenberg want to stand next to him? Why is Rosenberg such a racist?

  • PA123

I am paid by my employer to do a job. PERIOD. My beliefs are to be express on my own time and with no affiliation with my employer. He was hired to do a job. He decided that he was so awesome that he could use his EMPLOYERS platform for his own political grandstanding. Welcome to “Consequences of Your Actions 101. “

Business 101: Know your customer. Don’t piss off your customer. Don’t alienate your customer. If you find that you hate your customer, find a different product to sell.

The NFL, Kaepernick, and ESPN hate their customers.

    • Breitbart Awakening

God dude…you nailed it right here

  • Rob

Never heard of this guy. ESPN can’t fold fast enough so guys like Rosenberg can fall further into obscurity . They still haven’t figured out that nobody wants some idiots politics shoved down their throats while trying to get news about their sports team.

  • Drmbon

This morons tweets is exactly why trump got elected

  • hero37

He calls Trump and idiot, but he is doing exactly what is killing his company (ESPN). This is why they are laying off people and yet he is still doing it. Dumb

  • Bluedog

More than likely all your grandparents said the same thing about Dr. King Muhammad Ali and others.

You people just never learn never change and unfortunately always continue to bred

  • Brock Bronson

Fuck them both with my boots

  • Phelin M’Quirk

Maybe ESPN ought to hire Kaepernick as a commentator, and finalize the network’s slide into irrelevance.

  • Corey Holt

More entitlement from the left. Shocker.

Free speech does not mean anyone is obligated to stick around and listen, let alone support you

  • Dpizzle

He’s not a good player, Tim Tebow is a saint and he isn’t in the league either for the same reason. They aren’t NFL caliber QB’s, if Kaepernick threw for 5000 yards last year he’d have a job.

  • Ms_Fortune

Maybe people are just sick of his retarded grand standing, at the end of the day you can do as you wish, it is your right, but it doesn’t protect you from consequences.

  • Kristen Collins

What does Donald Trump have to do with Colin Kaepernick finding a job? One thing has nothing to do with the other, they can’t even stay on topic. I really wish Liberals would stop blaming all their problems on Trump, all that mess happened during The Obama Administration, Trump wasn’t even in office when Colin Kaepernick was protesting. Cry me a river Rosenberg you are not even qualified to speak on the discrimination black people fave on this country just because you are Jewish. Stop it, sit down shut up, go cry in a corner, play some more identity politics and let Donald Trump “Make America Great Again”.
No wonder Hillary lost, look at her supporters, they are a bunch of idiots. I’m so glad Trump won, the next 8 years will be amazing.

  • Khanscott

People don’t want SJWs as employees. People don’t want to step on eggshells and pray to God they don’t get torn a new asshole after their co-worker got pissed off because of some irrelevancy that was committed. Employers do not want their businesses brought under fire for the exact same reason. I find it funny how these SJW clowns still don’t realize the world is a cold, uncaring bitch and they fail to comprehend that making it worse for everyone else achieves nothing of value.

  • Hairatic Rick

I don’t blame them. Why would any entity want to attach themselves to such a toxic person?

  • myddrinemrys

“[T]he bottom line is Colin Kaepernick is not getting a job in this league, not because of the kind of player that he is, but because of his political stance and because of the fact teams don’t want to stand next to him,” Rosenberg told host Cari Champion.
    ——————————————————–
The bottom line is that Kaepernick is not getting a job in this league because he had a horrible year when given a chance again. His numbers were abysmal. Had he stepped up to the plate and done well, while he STILL would not be part of the 49ers, a team elsewhere would have taken a chance on his. Talent can often outweigh idiocy.

However, his horrendous playing COMBINED with the spectacle he created as well as the impact he had on the images of the team AND the NFL have rendered him toxic. He will most likely get a contract somewhere later in the year when injuries start to mount and a backup is needed somewhere. However, NO team is going to add him until and unless they have little other choice.

  • RunningBulldog77

So where are all of your Black Lives Matter, friends know you cock roaching suck! You were never the athlete Tim Tebow was and he was blacklisted by the PC NFL for his overt religious beliefs. Your blacklisted for your anti American, racist, egotistical, arrogant ways. Not to mention your just not that good.

  • Robin Anderson

I stopped watching the NFL just because of idiots like him. You’re paid to play a sport and give fans entertainment. You’re not paid (nor are you intelligent enough) to assert your phony political opinions on us. You tried to make a statement and it backfired, for obvious reasons. Don’t cry now, it’s your own fault for being stupid.

  • Sean Millette

Keep your work professional and practice free speech and activism on your own time if you dont want people to group the two together.

  • emersonushc13

I like it when bad things happen to bad people.

  • Kristen Collins

Black Lives Matter as an organization is a joke controlled by George Soros and has nothing to do with the uplift of black people in America. What have they done besides whine on social media and cause riots? Nothing! We need real lobbying groups to put pressure in Congress to make real change now Black Lives Matter. Black people are not even controlling or managing the message. He should’ve known these cry baby football players wouldn’t back him up, they too busy trying to get a check and floss in the club for hoes. Colin you fell in the sword for nothing. Shame he got no support and I see why.

  • Don Kennedy

And Tebow didn’t get a job because he is a Christian right? NOPE! If Tom Brady did this every team in the league would still want him because he is good at the game. CK just isn’t.

  • Ammy Pearson

Bottom line huh? Why does total bs usually start with “the bottom line”? He is a terrible quarterback and a horrible person. Who cares? Political correctness is in its death spiral. Move to Europe if you don’t like it.

  • Jimmy G

True Loyal American folk are “NOT GONNA’ TAKE IT ANYMORE” and will let everyone know so… Advocating disrespect for our Nation and Flag is frowned upon by most… Hopefully, this $OB will never prosper again… May I suggest a move to Iran where his Anti-American Ideology will be appreciated?
