One of the victims of yesterday’s fatal racist/Islamic shooting in Fresno, California was reportedly a member of Antifa.
According to members of 4chan’s /pol/ forum, the deceased’s name is Zack Randalls. This appears to be confirmed by associates of Randalls, who have taken to Twitter to express their sympathies and share a link to a GoFundMe page.
This article from The Fresno Bee also confirms Randalls – “a husband and father of little kids” – as a victim.
/Pol/, meanwhile shares a screenshot of this Facebook profile, allegedly Randalls’, which appears to show the victim’s association with anti-fascists.
“We Punch Nazis,” reads his cover photo, changed on January 21 – one day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The image behind the text appears to be a screenshot of the moment an Antifa member punched alt-right white nationalist Richard Spencer in the face.
News of Randalls’ alleged Antifa association has sparked plenty of commentary online.
“Antifa are shits,” wrote one /r/The_Donald user. “Most will grow out of it or abandon once they’re faced with real legal or physical consequences. I feel bad for his family and still mourn these victims.”
“An American,” commented another. “Hypocritical about his existence. Ignorant to our constitution and amendments.”
“I can appreciate the irony but careful how far we go,” wrote another. “This was an American man, [albeit] with a different philosophy, but to be gunned down on your first day of a good job. Just tragic.”
In regards to Kori Ali Muhammad, the suspected shooter, police say he was trying “to kill as many white males as possible.”
Still, despite Muhammad’s reported yelling of “Allahu Akbar,” Fresno police chief Jerry Dyer refuses to declare his actions part of a terror attack.
“Kori Muhammad is not a terrorist,” he said according to NBC. “But he is a racist, and he is filled with hate.”
See below for more information on what authorities have confirmed concerning Muhammad.
