In her first interview since losing the election nearly six months ago, Hillary Clinton blamed her circumstances partially on sexism.

According to The Hill, Clinton was speaking at the Women of the World Summit in New York.

She said, “certainly, misogyny played a role. I mean, that just has to be admitted. And why and what the underlying reasons were is what I’m trying to parse out myself.”

Continuing, she declared, “I think in this election there was a very real struggle between what is viewed as change that is welcomed and exciting to so many Americans and change which is worrisome and threatening to others.”

“You layer on the first woman president over that and I think some people, women included, had real problems.”

Clinton also said she is writing a book in which she is exploring this particular issue.

See the interview clip below.

Have a look at this clip in which Hillary hypothesizes that Putin worked against her because he doesn’t like women.

Of course, Hillary Clinton is far from the first person to blame her gender for her election loss.

Days after the election, New Statesman writer Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett wrote an article titled, “Hillary Clinton lost because of her gender, and it hurts like hell.”

“Hillary Clinton lost because of sexism. Say it,” wrote Katie Massa Kennedy for the Huffington Post.

MacLeans’s writer Anne Kingston declared, “Hillary Clinton’s qualifications were no match for sexism.”

And then, of course, there’s this clip of Obama during the Presidential campaign suggesting men who have a problem with Hillary Clinton might be sexist.

Following the release of today’s interview, however, a number of people aren’t buying it.

Here are a few comments The Hill’s generally left-leaning audience has posted on the outlet’s coverage of the story.

If hating this lying piece of shit is misogyny, I’m the definition of it.

Of course, it had absolutely nothing to do with her policies or campaign she ran… What about getting busted paying women to come out with false accusations of sexual assault towards Mr. Trump? Being accused of sexual assault for a male, is one of the most destroying things a male could ever be accused of. Yet she was more than willing to use her female privilege to try and destroy someone’s life on falsehoods, just so she could sit in the captain’s chair. She didn’t care what she did to a man’s life. Clinton felt entitled to the position of POTUS strictly based on her gender and gender alone. She also conveniently neglects to mention how many elections she and Obama interfered with around the world. To date, there is no conclusive evidence that Russia had anything to do with sticking their noses into the election. She just can’t handle the fact that she is one of the biggest, most divisive pos alive today.

  • BananaPants

    She’s such a vile cunt

  • kamenetz

I’d vote for any conservative, Christian woman if she had the right vision for the USA. It certainly ain’t the Butcher of Benghazi. That’s all, had nothing to to do with gender.

  • Ivan_in_Phoenix

Sorry Hillary, we just don’t like politicians or entertainers who despise people in flyover country. Being a serial liar and a criminal doesn’t help your favorable rating either among honest folk.

  • Soleil

Victim blaming, slut shaming, lies, shady ties. The amount of reasons will fill an entire book.

  • Lisa Gavelek Eisenhart

I’ve hated that bitch since the 90’s. What’s so great about supporting “women”? Half the population of the world is female, should I vote for all of them? If you are not the person for the job, you should not get it just because you are female. Get her a pasture to graze in, I’m sick of hearing or seeing this cow.

  • DaisyToo

Given that fact that she’s remained “married” to a misogynist for most of her blighted life, her concern w/misogyny rings hollow.

  • Tonya McKinney

Past the blame as usual on to anything that doesn’t hold u accountable for why you lost! Bernie would b president right now if it wasn’t for you! Go back under ur rock! Oh and the 53 percent of women that voted for Trump are not against women! ????

  • SallyForth

The proof that this is nonsense is that so many educated and un-educated women were against her.

  • Angela Duncan

Nothing to do with her being a woman. I WANTED to vote for a woman, but I couldn’t bring myself to vote for her.

    • Kimmy3

Thank you! This female thinks it’s because she ha a vulva!? No, she is a terrible prospect as president and half the US said no. Bernie as a flagrant Marxist had a better image than she. And I want to see her empirical proof that it was misogyny. She made the accusation, now prove it beyotch.

  • Sally

If by “misogyny,” you really mean “Hillary Clinton.”

  • Tima

Remember when Hillary Clinton defended a man who raped a 12-year-old girl? Remember when Hillary accused the girl of “fantasizing about older men”? Then you hear her laughing about the case in that audio. Hillary, you don’t give a flying hoot about women.

  • Alex Vasiltsov

no misogyny did not play a role no normal human in America gives a dam about your transgender bathrooms you dont think like normal people you dont want to listen to normal people you think that all the liberal snowflakes make up 90% of America just because they all live in California. the reason you lost is because you are a horrible human and not that no one trusts or would want to trust the future of the free world with. if their was a viable women candidate maybe she could have won but you clitery horton are a monster of monsters

  • Rob Patriot

Perfectly exemplifies a female leftist. “I didn’t win? All men are haters. It’s not me, it’s all of you!”

  • teflonron

So women cannot be long term effective world leaders?

  • AverageJoe1987

The wife of a rapist and a woman who once laughed about getting a man who raped a 12 year old girl off the hook calling people misogynists is like Muslims calling innocent people “radicals.”

Don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house, Hillary.

  • Larrie Cole

WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE , WHO CARES ITS OVER

  • Pablo Jay

Hillary’s pain makes me really really happy.

  • Ben Affleck

Yes, the 63 million sexists, not her decades upon decades of incompetence and pure corruption, caused her to fail. Not her hateful alienating of 63 million people, not Trump, not her collapsing in the street, not her stupid ass policies, not her ass kissing of Obama, not her ass kissing of pedophile rapist Bill Clinton.

Nope. Just us sexists, because if we don’t vote for half-black Obama, we’re racist, and if we dare not vote for Hillary Clinton, world class criminal, we’re sexist, just because she’s got no balls.

  • arena

Guys, you know if a woman ever wins we can say that they won cause of misandry. German misandry is crazy, Merkel has been winning over and over again…

    Note taken.

  • Christopher Lee Hartsock

Weird. I never thought of her in any way, shape, or form — as a woman.
    Demon with tits, yes.

  • Christopher Lee Hartsock

But… voting for a candidate just -because- she has a vagina… not sexist at all.
