The anti-Trump crowd has flown into a frenzy following news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has called for the resignation of 46 Obama-appointed attorneys.
Replacing the previous administration’s attorneys is nothing new – it’s been happening for decades. Yes, it even happened under Obama.

Many hysterical individuals online appear completely oblivious to this fact, however, and are treating Sessions’ announcement like an unprecedented breach of the Constitution.
Evidence of this can be seen in the comments for The Hill’s article on Jeff Sessions’ announcement.
It appears commenters like the ones below didn’t actually read the piece, which states – in the second paragraph – “U.S. attorneys are normally replaced at the beginning of new administrations.”
According to TIME, should the attorneys choose to resign, their seats will not be vacated until replacement attorneys are appointed.
“Until the new U.S. attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our U.S. attorney’s offices will continue the great work of the department in investigating and deterring the most violent offenders,” said Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores.
