HillaryBeatTrump.org is a website filled with fake news stories from an alternate universe where Hillary Clinton is President of the United States.
The website’s tagline is “News From The Real America, Where The Majority Rules” – a reference, of course, to the oft-cited notion that the popular vote actually means something.
The site’s ‘About Us’ page reads:
In the midst of a Constitutional crisis, this is our response.
Long live the true president,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
As if that’s not funny enough, here are some of the headlines from the website.
- Historians say Clinton’s presidency is already in “all time top 5”
- Approval ratings for President Clinton hit 89 percent
- Clinton handles dangerous nuclear situation in White House Situation Room
Imaginary accomplishments the site attributes to Clinton include appointing “the most diverse cabinet in history – including the highest-ranking Muslim in government,” mandating parental leave and “welcoming Syrian immigrants.”
The site even goes as far as to satirically convict people of crimes, such as this insistence that Dr. Luke actually raped Kesha.
That article reads, “the powerful Svengali producer acknowledges repeatedly raping the “Timber” singer while she was in various states of consciousness, then lying about the abuse he subjected her to in order to save his career.”
“Truth be told, between her youth, vulnerability, and inability to stand up to me, Kesha was just too rapeable,” reads an imaginary Dr. Luke quote.
The site has gained a few fans.
Here's a website where Clinton supporters can console themselves by pretending Trump lost the election. It's great. https://t.co/r8zPJWEsi7

@Markgsparrow Love it! Thank you. Everyone deserves a safe space. Just watching Homeland season 6 where Clinton seems to have won as well!

For the most part, though, the website seems to have been met with ridicule.
