Starbucks customers across the country have begun placing orders under the name ‘Trump,’ forcing baristas to shout the President-elect’s name when drinks are ready.

A Starbucks employee sparked controversy earlier this month when he called the police on a Donald Trump supporter.

Operation #TrumpCup is an apparent backlash against that incident as well as other cases of discrimination against Republicans.

It’s spread like wildfire across the internet, becoming a phenomenon almost overnight.

Many prominent conservatives have posted pictures of themselves participating and have encouraged their fans to join in.

Some critics of the #TrumpCup movement have pointed out that it’s a bit weird to protest against Starbucks by buying more Starbucks.

However, Tim Treadstone – one of the movement’s founders who goes by the name @bakedalaska on Twitter – said this is not a protest but, rather, a statement of support for the President-elect.

In a subsequent interview, Treadstone took aim at liberal media outlets who have been referring to #TrumpCup as a protest in an effort to poke fun at participants.

“I never said this was a protest,” he said. “I never said boycott Starbucks or don’t shop at Starbucks. The media has been doing a hit piece on me and other Trump supporters. ”

Liberal headlines and reactions certainly seem to validate Treadstone’s concern.

One Starbucks barista has added her voice to the liberal choir, expressing her disdain for participants of Operation #TrumpCup.

Oops, that’s poor customer service. Bye, Sam.

Or not – we may see her on TV soon, whining about how she’s being “persecuted.”

Operation #TrumpCup is just one of many peaceful actions conservatives have launched to express their support of President-elect Trump and his party.

Yesterday, Trump/Pence supporters took to the streets of New York to hold a flash mob after VP-elect Pence was harassed by the cast of ‘Hamilton.’

Last night, a conservative in attendance at a ‘Hamilton’ Chicago viewing stood up and protested during the show.

Meanwhile, in the liberal camp, violence continued at anti-Trump rallies throughout the nation.

An alt-right member was badly beaten in Washington last night by protesters that had gathered outside a Trump victory celebration he was attending.

Meanwhile, in Melbourne, Donald Trump supporters found themselves outnumbered by counter-protesters today, who threw eggs at them.

What’s the difference between Rosie O’Donnell and a rhinoceros? 10 pounds and a flannel shirt.

I’m sorry I like the idea but why would you give them your money for that crappy coffee. You should support independent shops with real barista’s who make real coffee.

  • thevictoriousgecko

As usual, the left doesn’t get it. #TrumpCup is a chance for real American baristas to proclaim their love for Trump, and for Generation Snowflake to get triggered.

So the liberal wants approval to spit in people’s cups if she doesn’t like what they believe? Wow that is out of control narcissism

I’ll be honest…I’m not sure Sam Montgomery is for real, i.e., ever worked at Starbucks. Looks to be more of a Canadian satirist.

  • Ramsey

Sam Montgomery never worked at a Starbucks to begin with. You took the bait.

Remember: if it’s on the internet, it must be true!

A protest is not the same as a boycott….. Duh!!!

I wouldn’t waste one penny at Starbucks. Coffee Bean is much better anyways.

I was fired for my job for threatening to break the rules of my job on twitter openly (cos as well all know if you say it on the internet you will go through with it). This is changed to “I was persecuted for my beliefs” How the fuck is this even possible to swing this way?

  • Quagmire

FYI, I have proof that Sam Montgomery and Ren Bostelaar made the whole thing up – a DM from Bostelaar admitting just that, that neither of them live in the US and the whole thing was to troll Trump supporters.

  • Audioscapist

“Protest: a statement or action expressing disapproval of or objection to something.” so yes… this is still a protest – the “liberal media” actually knows the definitions of the words they use.
